It seems that more people are turning towards entertainment PC’s and one of the original makers was Sony. The LA1 Vaio might be getting on a bit now, but it still has more style than some of the other computers on the market and Sony builds things to last.

The LA1 Vaio uses the Intel Core 2 Duo T5600, which has a speed of 1.83GHz with a FSB of 667MHz and a 2MB Cache. Other cutting-edge technology has been added to make this a hard to beat entertainment computer such as, a the GeForce(R) Go 7400 graphics card and 1GB of RAM, although it could have done with at least another Gig. There is a 300GB Hard Drive, enough to store your whole CD collection and home movies.

Sony has put in their own brand DVD-RW, and a TV Tuner really works well with the 19-inch monitor that sits in front and hides all the hardware on this PC.

Specifications for the Sony LA1 Vaio Computer are:
• 1.83GHz Intel Core2 Duo T5600 Processor
• 667MHz FSB
• 2MB Cache
• 300GB Hard Drive
• 1GB RAM
• Multi-Format DVD RW
• Built-in TV Tuner + Remote Control
• GeForce Go 7400 Graphics Card
• 4 x USB
• 1 x Firewire

The Good: Everything you need with a compact design
The Bad: Same spec PC’s without the fancy design can be cheaper
